OPEN STUDIO with PROJECT PICO

27th April

Estate of the Arts

Bristol — 12 till 6

It’s Fashion Revolution Week!

So myself at oB along with Phoebe and Isobel behind Project Pico are hosting a themed open studio in partnership with the Fashion Revolution Campaign, who’s mission is to demand more transparency in the fashion industry, highlight it’s devastating effects and celebrate sharing the ways we can create more ethical changes through the processes of producing, creating, caring and interacting with clothes, read more into their manifesto!

We will have our studio and workshop doors open throughout the day and offer insights into our own experiences within fashion and what it’s like running a small ethical business.

We will also be running a mending circle, in which you can bring a broken garment and learn the skills to repair it yourself, a collective felting workshop where we will be getting hands on in the yard as we felt together and end the day with a Q&A open discussion about our own practices within the more ethical side of the fashion industry and talk on the subject of Fashion Revolution’s statement question “Who made my clothes?”

It’s also open studio day for all the many talented artists and makers at Estate of the Arts studios, there are more workshops, Q&A’s, a live auction, music, food a bar! Activities happening throughout the day 12-6.

Check out the full event and workshop times.
